Modification to the Register of Civil Status

On occasion, the information contained on the Register of civil status of Quebec must be modified or corrected. Changes are required either to correct errors that may affect a person’s rights, image, and/or interests, or out of necessity resulting from the particular circumstances in a person’s live (sex change, etc.). In such cases, an application to modify the Register of civil status may be introduced to obtain the necessary corrections.
