Me Thomas Godbout

Me Thomas Godbout graduated from the Faculté de droit de l’Université de Sherbrooke with a Bachelor of Laws and a DESS in Common Law and Transnational Law (Juris Doctor).

He initially joined Dubé Latreille as an articling student, and has been practising law since March 31, 2025. Me Godbout is particularly interested in civil liability, contractual disputes and cybercrime litigation.

During his academic career, Me Godbout worked as a research assistant at the Université de Sherbrooke on administrative law relating to university research. He also participated in a United Nations simulation (NMUNS) and spent a semester abroad at the Università degli Studi di Trento, in Italy, where he took numerous courses in comparative law.

Alongside his law practice, Me Godbout particularly enjoys training in fencing and biathlon. He is also interested in music, personal finance and learning the Italian language and culture.
